08:30 - Departure from Can Tho

Your English - speaking local tour guide and private vehicle pick you up at the agreed meeting point in central Can Tho. Depart for Tra Vinh Province.

Tra Vinh Macapuno Coconut Museum - The Legend of Dừa Sáp

Arrive at the museum, surrounded by lush coconut gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy the greenery, traditional - inspired architecture, gentle music and wind chimes before exploring the museum.

1. Reception Area

Relax on traditional bamboo furniture while enjoying roasted - bean tea and assorted Macapuno Coconut candies. Watch an introductory film about the story and heritage of Macapuno Coconut in Tra Vinh.

2. Macapuno Coconut Ancestor Shirne 

Enter a sacred cultural space where Kinh, Khmer and Hoa traditions meet. Learn about local beliefs, the history of Macapuno Coconut and the people who helped preserve this special variety.

Explore three themed spaces: Agriculture, The Macapuno Coconut Legend and Modernity. Discover the origins and development of Macapuno Coconut through photographs, artifacts and cultural displays. See the preserved first Macapuno Coconut stump presented as an important heritage object and learn about Venerable Thach So, who is associated with the local Macapuno Coconut story. Visit this peaceful place associated with wishes for blessings, wisdom and prosperity.

5. Macapuno Coconut Experience & Shopping

Learn how to distinguish Macapuno Coconut from ordinary coconut, taste fresh Macapuno Coconut and browse local products made from dừa sáp.

Continue to Cau Ke - Countryside Cycling Adventure 

After the museum visit, continue to Cau Ke. After a short refreshment break, begin cycling through peaceful village roads and Khmer communities.

1. Ba Mi Pagoda

Cycle through the villages to Ba Mi Pagoda, built in 1364.

2. Huynh Ky's Tomb

Visit the tomb of Huynh Ky, the former povernor of the town. The distinctive structure was built in 1944 during the French colonial period.

3. Canh Dal & Tra Khao Khmer Villages 

Ride through local Khmer villages and experience the quieter side of the Mekong Delta.

4. Canh Dal Pagoda

Visit Canh Dal Pagoda, built in 1317.

5. Sam Bua Pagoda

Visit Sam Bua Pagoda, described in the source itinerary as dating from 373.

6. Chinese Temple

Visit a nearby Chinese temple and observe another layer of the area's multicultural heritage.

7. Giong Lon Countryside
