Phat Hoc Pagoda is located in Hoa Binh Avenue - one of the great pagodas and also the famous spiritual destination of Can Tho city. The pagoda was built in 1951.
Previously, the pagoda had only 3 storeys, and the architecture was relatively simple. From 2012 to 2014, the pagoda was restored into a five-storey building, located majestically on Hoa Binh Avenue. The architecture of the pagoda is similar to many typical pagodas in the South, with the main hall, many doors, surrounded by corridors. The space of the pagoda is spacious and cool, when we enter the pagodas, it is like going into another world without noising and hustling.
Every year, Phat Hoc Pagoda often donates and organizes charitable activities to give money and gifts for the poor in Can Tho city; distribute rice and support free accommodation for students going to Can Tho to take the university entrance examination.
